Taishoike pond, Kamikochi, Japan

Taishoike Pond was formed in 1915, when an eruption of the nearby volcano Yakedake dammed off the Azusa River. The decayed trees standing in the pond and the fog give an eery feeling especially fitting for tonight, Hallowe'en.

This is a lovely shot, and yes it does fit in with Halloween, kind of spooky.

I love the feeling of depth; the mystical atmosphere is well enclosed and the B/W fits it perfectly *thumbs up*
